While I was wiring the Zephyr’s rear observation car I thought I would get the interior in at the same time. Molded and cast the seat parts, used some mostly Hong Kong figures off ebay, altered some to sit. Carpet is from my wife’s sewing box. The light on the rear table should light up and there are lights in the ceiling. I took out the frosted plastic windows and put in clear. Glued some ribbed material to them for curtains. More seats and two tables go on the empty carpet you see. I had to separtate the floors, since the rear part of the car has a floor attached to it, the floor for the rest of the interior sits on the removable base part.
Jerry,
So are we going to see this at Marty’s?
Where’s the little table in the middle with the martini glasses…?

Looks great Jerry. I always wanted to ride sitting in the plush seats of a curved back Obs. car watching the track disappear out the huge windows. Never got the chance.
personally, I was waiting to see the Hostess…
Nice work, Jerry…
Thanks guys. No table in the middle Ken, there will be a square one on both sides, by that line between the two floor sections and the one in the back, that’s all it had. No room for one in the middle, as you see!
I finished up the Z’s interior and got the lights in also-those bridge recitifiers/led’s/resistors about did me in! Thanks to David Bodnar, who I got the led’s from(low prices!), he gave me some advice. I got the interior you saw above installed in the back of the car, clear plastic replaced the frosted and I used some ribbed material for the curtains.

I also finished the rest of the interior that goes forward of this first bunch.

Here’s a shot of the whole car. I lit up the whole thing, but left the frosted glass in the unfinished areas, which I may get to someday…

Now though, I have the front power car that is lit up and the rear car that is lit, but I have an unlit car in the middle. So I ordered some more led’s from David to at least light up the center coach. Not sure why my old brain did not think of that before, probably because it’s OLD!
Very nice. Just the right touch.
Jerry,
It looks so cool.

Neet!
Thanks guys, should get the led’s this week to put in the center car, David said he shipped them. Weather looks good to stay inside and do stuff here in my messy basement workshop!
I took this more daylit shot of the Z , shows how eyecatching the interior is(said he modestly!) and the curtains show up real well also.

you have to get a shot of that highballin’ outside.
Planned to tomorrow, but the weather is turning bad. You can see some youTube movies of it under my gunjeep444 name on youTube, a couple are on my website.
