Can someone post the simplest way to upload Youtube videos to forums since the software change.

Simple. Well, mostly… 
Just below the “screen” on the youtube page is a clickable link called"SHARE." Click on that link, and wait a moment for youtube to “think” and you will be rewareded with a link highlighted in blue. Copy that link to your clipboard.
Then, come back to LSC, and go to “Post Reply.” Once there, type in the following:
[you tube] clickable link that you just copied [/you tube*] without any spaces or *.
This will provide you with an embedded youtube video.
I believe that the same procedure works with VIMEO.
Here’s an example, click on “quote” at the top right of this message box to see just how its done.
Yes, same routine in Vimeo.

Nick, did you try to use the “Insert/edit embedded media” button? That doesn’t work for me, either. I get the same error message.
Just follow the directions given, and you will be successful.
Go to your video on Utube.
Copy from the address bar the address of your video. (For example: below is an address of one of my vids.
Paste it between [ Youtube ] and [ /Youtube ] without any spaces.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsiI2jRz9dY
[Youtube]paste in the link without any spaces[/Youtube]
And you will get:
[Youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsiI2jRz9dY[/Youtube]
At the end of the youtube link you have to hit backspace once to kill the link then type the [/youtube] at end.

it’s in the “Links to share this Video” box (top RH) click on the “direct” button which copies the address , select Flash in the input dialog, box set the dimension to 800 x 450 (16:9 ratio) and it should work.

This is a test.
That didn’t seem to work. I went to photobucket and clicked on the “HTML” link, came here and clicked on the film symbol, pasted the code, and posted…. nothing showed up.
This is with a “IMG” link…
I left it at the default setting of “Flash”

I can post Photobucket videos. Forget the codes on the right side of the Photobucket page, they don’t seem to work here. Instead, go to the end of the video clip and click on SHARE. Then click on HTML FOR WEBSITES AND BLOGS. It copies it for you. Paste that into your post here and VIOLA!
