Don’t know, may be.
I wonder why the second engine is running with the pet chocks open, On purpose, or defective linkage, or just broken off the bottom of the cylinders? I’ll put Good Money that those engines haven’t seen a 1472 inspection in 30 years +.
They certainly have engineers with brass ones! That’s way faster than I would feel comfortable running on that narrow track!!!
I thought i saw Roos checking out the on coming train in one scene!
Pretty cool run down but still running line! Ugly little narrow gauge engines…just the thing!
Oh my! And I thought firing Pauline (Porter 0-4-0st with coal tender) was rough. I marvel at how a fireman can stay on his feet and still hold a shovel on that track.
Yours, David Meashey
Here’s one in the US. Kinda scary with that big of a loco!
Track? Looks more like Sea State 4 to me.
The ‘Pioneer Lines’ logo on the locomotives in the second vid seems strangely appropriate.
Likewise, some of the graffiti on the freight cars seems pretty good…though it could stand touching up.

You should take Amtrak sometime. The track probably looks a lot better, but when you’re inside, that’s about what it feels like. I’ve had smoother rides on an airplane in a bad storm. (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)
Give that track a couple of weeks and it will bed in just fine. (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
Somewhere there’s somebody else that has ridden on Amtrak.
We did - I have stated that it was a “once in a lifetime” experience. But, I bought a round trip ticket and had to do it twice. NEVER again.

Yes indeed. We rode Amtrak from Northern California to Seattle, WA. and back, as you stated, never again!!!
Though the food and service were very good the ride was ROUGH, damn near throw you not only out of bed but almost out of the room(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-frown.gif)

That was my feeling as well - we took the Crescent from DC to New Orleans… it was a very rough ride, but they made up for it by being VERY late. Sheesh.
