Wife and I went to a restaurant tonight for a meal without the howling hordes of infant-ry.
The restaurant has a lobby/cloakroom at the entrance, with a door to the outside and a door into the restaurant proper. There’s plenty of room for people to go through one door, wait a few seconds for it to close, then go through the other door. Keeps the old winter wind outside where it belongs, don’t you know. And don’t you know that some goofballs insist on politely holding both doors open so their party can go straight through, even when said party is dawdling and that winter wind is blowing the candles out on tables near the entry.
Fortunately, I am too polite to do more than think of homicide …
Once again, the lack of “common sense” rears it’s ugly head…
The funny thing is that these same people would probably have been mad if they were sitting near the door and got the icy blast.
Unfortunately good manners and common courtesy is not as prevalent as it used to be, or maybe I’m just getting old and crochety.
Regards, Greg
