did anyone get a car count this year on what Andy made off with? I know Ric said the van was full.
I know if they had to hit the brakes hard on the trip home they would have been injured by rolling stock!
38 cars, I think the count was? And quite a few were being transported by others from the Gateway club…
Someone needs to keep the economy going.
He needs to buy a van to carry his shopping loot!

I posted it down in the other topic forum under Conventions and Shows, so please excuse the duplication, but did anyone get pictures of TJ and Phoebe running the Timesaver on Friday? I’ve got a story to write and I’d like to include pictures.
Here is the story -

I got a nice deal on the Bachmann Davenport gas/mechanical at Nicolas Smith’s - $75. I was surprised at how much the little rascle would pull. My buddy and I tried it out on a level track with 4 foot radius curves on Saturday night. It pulled 13 cars! 12 of them were Bachmann and only 4 had metal wheels, but that’s still not bad for a dinky! The couplers that come mounted on the locomotive are high enough to mate with Kadee G couplers, so I don’t have to change couplers either. Got several other good deals at the show as well.
I was disappointed that the HLW double-truck Birneys were not in stock as yet. I also regret that HLW had no booth at the show. I hope they will be back at the next show.
Some folks were saying that there will not be a fall show. Don’t know how accurate that is, so take it with a fair grain of salt.
Best,
David Meashey
It was a slow year… Only got 23 freightcars and only 4 came home with Skip… The other 19 were in the van… (or strapped on somewhere)…
WE WANT PICs

David;
Have not had time to take any photos as yet. The locomotive may not get to stretch its legs again until our local club’s participation at the Rail Day event at the O. Winston Link Museum in mid-May. I will try to get some photos of it when I run it again, but my camera was not present when my buddy and I ran the locomotive at his house.
Yours,
David Meashey
