Large Scale Central

Yes, rumors are true, Mostly

Greetings, greetings, greetings.

I should have made a formal announcement prior to this but I have been so tied up with all the goings on, I haven’t done so until now.

Yes, the rumor is about 95% true. We have sold the majority of our G gauge trains and the layout has been removed from the back yard. Kay and I are in the preliminary planning stages to move into an Independent Living Senior Center. We do not have an apartment or a move date yet.

And as Vic shared on the other forum, we are part of an O gauge group that has a display in the Prescott Gateway Mall so our train fix needs are still being met. In fact, we had our monthly Saturday run yesterday from 11-4:30.

The decal business is thriving and we will continue to make custom decals for all who need them. We’ll be at the NGRC in Denver, at Marty’s and at as many functions as we can be.

Both Kay and I are still on the green side of the grass…

Trains R still fun…

Glad to hear your well. Hope the move goes smoothly. Dang I wish I had known I would have made an offer for a couple of your smaller items for the pizza. Good luck with the move.

Dang Stan. I guess Jill and I wil have to collect you folks and take you out for afternoon tea next time wer’e over.
Good luck in your move.

I knew something was up when I was in Silver State Trains’ booth and saw a railbus for sale with your railroad on it.

I see lots of greenery behind your house, I thought you lived in the desert?

Greg

Glad to hear you’re ok. Good luck with the move.

It just seems hard to believe, Stan, that that beautiful railroad is “no more” in your backyard!! I always thought it was such a super layout, and thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon of running trains when I was there in the Prescott area. All the best to you and Kay with your move, though, and I am sure you’ll be into “O” gauge big time sooner than we can believe!!!

No, Dewey is in the mountains near Prescott, AZ. Very lovely area. My Entertainment group does shows sveral time a year up in Prescott, and we love the area! We are from the low lands where it is desert and it is not near as pleasant as where Stan lives.

Health is what’s important, everything else is secondary…

Best wishes, Kay & Stan…

Time passes.

O scale? Really?

See you at NGRC. I’ll be manning the Tulsa booth.

I guess I am sorry to hear Stan that you have taken down your railroad for good. I suppose I should be smart like you, and recognize when it is time to quit. I just don’t want to, and that may be my problem. Anyway, all the best to you, and I hope that with your wealth or knowledge you will still contribute it to the rest of us.

Paul

Best wishes for the future Stan, I hope things go well (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-smile.gif)

I apologise if it sounds a little selfish, but I’m really glad to hear that your decal side of things is still continuing. It’s a great service and I’d be lost without it!!!

All the best,

Gavin

Rod… It’s always a delight to have you and Jill here… If we’re still in the house when you get on this side of the pond, we can enjoy tea on the patio and watch the trolley run back and forth just like it always has.

If we’re in the apartment, we can enjoy tea on the patio there but not have the trolley running.

Thanks so very much to all for the well wishes. We are not really “retiring” from the hobby. I get a great deal of pleasure from helping others with “stuff” and the decal business will most certainly continue as long as the ALPS supplies and printer repair lasts…

wow what a shocker Stan. Sure wished I’d had a heads up also. Would have like to gotton some of your trains. Lots of luck to you and Kay. Hope we can make another meet some day. BTW see a house at the far end of the RR but in the last pic it is not there?

I too shall fight to keeping the trains even if I have to go to the above ground level. Later RJD

Good luck Stan.

Best wishes Stan to you and Kay. Sorry to see your railroad go but life goes on.

I hope your move is a smooth one.

Guess same as Richard Smith said. Hate to see the R.R. go. If up this way or on up to Richard’s area, swing by and you can run all of the trains you want. You and Kay can Even have a Dr. Pepper or soda and… even water if Richard sends some down to Calif. LoL. RJ,

That small house is what they sell as storage sheds, probably was the train storage shed…
