Here is another FUN thread. Now that it is yard sale season what treasure have you found at a sale that you have used on your RR. Last week I found a lighthouse tower for 50 cents. It is not to scale at all with a little 1" door at the base but I thought it would make for a nice water tower. I painted a tin can and dropped it over the top and WA LA instant water tower.

With the added tin can. I might tinker with it a bit more.

So what junk have you found at a yard sale that you have turned into treasure on your RR?

What? No shake shingles? I can tell you how to make some… It’s really not that hard. Now cutting an octagon roof to put them on, thats another tale.

Todd, look up Randy’s water tank build for an Idea on how to easily stave that can.

Love the can. You can now call that spot Tin Can Junction or Tin Cup.
