Yea, the adjustable height couplers are cool.
This is one of those “what do I do with all the left over parts from my donor locomotives after my kit bash project” builds. Just start throwing parts anywhere. Makes me feel a lot better about my modeling. Likely what I consider mistakes, someone somewhere did on purpose.
That is a really cool rig and here I thought that kind of Yankee ingenuity was a lost art.
