I’m looking for a Bachmann 20’ box car with western NG paint scheme. F&CC, D&RG, etc
I have a Pennsylvania yellow one, but it’s earmarked for a different project.

John I have that exact car MIB. Not really interested in selling it but maybe we could make a trade. By any chance do you have the gondola (any road) from the same series? Or any of the 18’ cars Bmann made in On30?
Below is the information on the series.
The car series included a flat, a low-side gondola and a boxcar. Bmann tried to capitalize on the length alone since it measured to 20’ in 1/20.3. They were much closer to 1/24th scale. The cars featured body mount couplers and metal details for the handles, steps and door guides. They are very well made and track wonderfully. I based Monkey Circus Train on these cars.
The trucks can be purchased from Bmann under the description: "20’ Complete Truck (G Universal) for $13.65 each. The wheels are still available in blister packs but the cars are out of production. They can be found on E-bay usually at premium prices now.
There are also several of these boxcars for sale on E-bay in the $50 - $100 range.

There are two F&CC box cars on ebay listed as “20 footers”, but the pics show the standard Big Hauler.
There is a new 20’ Gondola, but it is a pretty penny as well, Boomer.
Cliff, I’m kind of partial to a western NG, because I didn’t want to repaint it.
Just to be argumentative, that’s not what I recall from the days when I owned one. They were 20’ scale length in 1:22.5 scale, and were based on a drawing in Carstens’ Slim Gauge Cars. The drawing said ‘approx dimensions within 10%’ or similar.
Ya’ know you might be correct Peter and I personally am so glad you brought this up!
I can assure you someone might notice the difference in scale while running on the layout!!
