WTB--Alum track

Newb starting out and looking for used track because of limited budget. Thanks

One suggestion that I can make to get good Aluminum track at a cheap price is to buy the rail from Switchcrafters and then buy the replacement ties for LGB or Arictcraft track and the put the ties on the rail. That way you have 6 foot flex track you can bend to whatever shape you need.

thanks i will look into that—you meant aristrocraft, correct?

Train-Li has concrete style American ties at a great price and made in the USA.

You even have color choices of black, brown, concrete grey, and several others.

Rail clamps are built in to the ties, you just add your own screws.

Why not use the Micro Engineering tie strip the rail was designed to use, and available at Switch Crafters as well. Do not use other manufactures tie strip that uses different base width rail. I believe the cost is comparative. Switch Crafters is also a good choice for matching Switches.

Have you considered buying new from Aristo? I think it’s 50%off with promo code 2013.

I picked up some cases of the 5ft straights while they were available. RLD Hobbies still has them for a nice price.

it says coupon invalid

only until 12/1/2013–missed out on that–i would have bought the farm

I would check out the Aristo facebook page occaisionally. Looks like they had 60% off for cyber monday…who knows if they might post another code sometime soon?

Aristocraft only has another couple of weeks left.
If they have anything left, there will most likely be another big sale.
