I go away for a few days, and all hell breaks loose.
You were gone?
Got a few messages in your inbox, eh ???
Naw, just three or four of your brats arguing is all. Trying to out-put-down each other.
John,
a lot of ‘problems’ arise when something is admitted in private discussions and then refuted on a public forum. Sometimes it takes a little heated discussion for the truth to surface. No other largescale site allows the degree of ‘freedom’ to express one’s viewpoint. If this site were as sterile, as many others, then it would not attract the wonderful characters that it does. Remember that cream always rises to the surface.
Bob,
Thought you might be missing. That gear discussion on the K sparky is running an awfully long time with no “Dings”. It is fun to watch. Cream may rise to the surface, but the other stuff floats.

…all is well so far, and no “Ping” is needed; not even a Ping-Pong. Funny; a server at the local beanery is named “Ping”…

HJ,
Marvin and his ‘friends’ must be on holidays, as well, as it has been rather quiet of late.
That’ll learn ya…

I didn’t know anything happen … but like Brian… if it did happen… "I SEE NUTH-TING "… LAF.
Did anyone here know, that there was a real “Stalag 13”
I met a research Doctor, who was deep into researching the known knowledge of cancer research. Part of his research led him to research that had been done in Nazi Germany…this led him to find a certificate that had been signed at “Stalag 13”…he showed me a photostat of it…
In response to Bob’s post, I think the discussion is leveling out. It could be better without the personal comments, but it looks like the majority are trying to focus on facts.
I’m a little tired of the subject, I’m not sure what value there is to forcing someone to publicly admit they were “wrong” or ignored some advice. (Not making any judgement of who is right and who is wrong).
On the other hand I have a hard time when a wildly incorrect (in my opinion) viewpoint is presented as fact, and often feel compelled to comment, in the naive mindset that I’m helping less experienced people not be mislead.
Ah well, it’s still somewhat entertaining.
Regards, Greg
Actually I think it was Stalag Luft 13, as all the internees are Airmen, and the guards are all Luftwaffe troops.
