Was just going over evil bays /over in 5 hrs auctions, and I was astonished at what i came across there is an LGB Union Pacific dome pass car the bid is at $432.00??? Am I missing something here or what??? Couldnt believe my eyes last time I was captivated like this was when i saw a blue flatcar wilson bros circus car go for around 3-400.00! I guess somebody wants it real real bad, Ive been lucky to get $150 for factory brand new pass cars. Heh Warren I guess im not doing somthing right huh???

Of all the stuff I’ve sold on Evilbay, I’ve never had a sale like that. I usually get what the discounters are selling the stuff for. I’m beginning to suspect that there are shills working these sites and bidding up these suckers.

If these are the smoothside UP cars I am not surpised by the price. Long sold out and there is some interest in them. As for shills yah they are out there but I did get over $300 for an LGB Christmas 1994 car because it was a collectable in their eyes and they and a few others wanted it pure and simple. No shills involved.

Looks to me it’s the old “Supply and demand” situation. Supply side doesn’t look so hot at the moment and we all know how some people lust after that LGB stuff (you may interpret that any which way you like 
).
It will be “Duh” time just as soon as production starts rolling in earnest, just like it has been “Duh” time in some circles regarding the V200. 
Thank god I have no interest in lgb crap anyways, over priced european toys! watch them do a dash9 thats 6 inches long next year shorter than my usa sw-2 switcher!! laughable

if you Googled a U.P. streamliner for $150.00 at a hobby shop then go out and buy a dozen or more. I could guarantee that like a lot of items listed when Googling that they are old websites, long in need of an update. All the streamliners are in big demand with the S.P. and U.P. models exceeding $600.00 each. Eighteen months ago one could pick up the S.P. streamliners for $189.00 each at most online discounters.
Heh Tim where were you when i sold my six streamliners??? Wish i would have known you before i took $450 for four of them! The other two barely brought 80-90 apiece we wern’t googleing then!!! Boy if lgb is worth that i have a whole set for you couldnt get a bid on it and it was at least $400 under what ive seen going on evil bay!! If you’re looking Give me a shout out ill make you a deal!!! They were u.p. one was even a collector North Platte thought somebody from Ne. would take but didnt think i got $85 for it!

currently the streamliners without interior are going for $225 - $250 each in mint/as new condition. The interior kit adds an extra $150 - $200 each car. Cars with interior are a king’s ransom each these days.

I saw the Streamliners going for over $200 each at a dealer a few weeks ago. NIB being sold for a customer.
