Worldwide 1/29th Day

Yes, you read that correctly. Today is Worldwide 1/29th Day (January 29). A Worldwide International Holiday. It also just happens to be my birthday- coincidence. Well, just maybe. So, in honor of this momentous modeling occasion and the fact that it just happens to be my birthday as well (did I mention that?) - All gifts can be sent to me care of this site. Singing and/or cake is not necessary.

-Kevin.

Well, Happy 1:29 Day, Kevin!

Goodness, I can’t think up a good limerick. Happy 1/29

1:29, the most favourite of mine,

it just looks great in my garden,

as it rolls down the track on its ballasted line,

it makes my resolve to buy more just harden.

Well, I was unaware if the importance of today.

Happy Birthday Kevin,

aka Wacky Scale Day

Oh, we need a Limerick? Well, let’s see…

There once was a girl from Nantucket,…

No, that one won’t work. I’ll keep trying.

There once was a man who had a Birthday,
No he was not born on Earth Day!
He chose a more prestigeous Holiday.
The one he proclaimed to be 1/29th day.

That was horrible! I will stick with playing drums.

Happy Birthday Diesel Dude! See you in York!

I like the soubriquet ‘wacky’ sounds a lot better than ‘gummi’. lol

Actually over here wacky tends to suggest unusual but great fun as well, so I will buy that.

Hmmmmmmm, Could have sworn this day was in April. ???

Happy Birthday.

I think you mean wacky guage day, the scale is fine

Just for you Steve…

There once was a girl from Nantucket.

who had a hole in her bucket,

to fill it with water she thought that she oughta,

put her thumb in the hole and plug it.

Then what did she do?

Thanks to one and all. Enjoy 1/29th day.

Hey Kevin - Happy Birthday. You share one with my brand new grand daughter Ellie

Happy Birthday Kevin and Congrats Jon!

Limericks, eh?

There was an old guy named Kevin,
Whose “dough” would no longer leaven,
So he got a kielbasa and … something, something, something.

Anyway, “Sto Lat” D-Dude

1/32 scale modelers have to share their day with the 2/1 scale modelers.

Andrew

Happy B-day Kevin. … and congrats Jon

Jon- Congratulations on the new 1/29ther!!!

-Kevin.

No, I really mean scale. While it isn’t quite as crass as what I call “G - wie Gummi” it is still wacky enough.

PS I never had a problem distinguishing between gauge and scale; I also readily recognize when there’s a mismatch.
