World's Greatest Thomas the Tank Engine Fan...

There are Thomas the Tank Engine fans, and there are Thomas the Tank Engine fans, but this little kid is in a league all by himself…

He went on that way for the better part of a half hour, until we ran Thomas out of steam. Actually, Thomas ran out of steam before the kid did.

That type of reaction is always the best!

THANKS FOR POSTING.

I don’t get it. That’s what I do when I run my trains!!!

Works for me! Ahhh the enthusiasm and wonder of youth. Now, to find a way to retain some while I become an old and cranky eccentric.

Amazing reaction. I used to produce a range of high detail slot cars and used to take them to shows displayed in a full scenic pit/paddock diorama. You could see the little kids wandering round there in their minds.

Better not give him this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lm91nUsniC8&feature=youtu.be What one well known UK G scale enthusiast has been doing in his garden for a while with his Bachmann stock. There is a whole series of them. Even started upsetting some of the more traditional (shhh…LGB) “G Scalers” who are members of the principal society, that started featuring them, over here. Max

My grandson at eighteen months old is just like this when I run the trains for him, the smile on his face makes it all worthwhile!

Though I have no children, and therefore no grandchildren, will add that, yes, the smile creation factor is one reason that shows and open houses are so much fun, it is fulfilling to provide a source of joy to people.

Mr. Wood,

It is OK to be an old and cranky eccentric, as long as you aren’t a slip eccentric.
