Working sidings manually

Working the siding on the other side

about 20 feet away. I used a manual
Bachmann control.

Closer ones are worked using a 10 foot

piece of steel conduit.
I had trouble with the electric controls, they
would work on the bench, put them on the layout
and they would work for awhile then only go half
way and short out when the train came by.

Very inventive, Mark, nice job.

That is clever. I like how you made a feature out of it.

I have 2 spots on my RR with out of the way switches and I hid the works the best I could.
One is on my WYE. I used a plastic tube and greased up a wire and ran it through the tube and buried it in dirt. The other is on a track bypass route, the same concept and the tube is hidden behind the trestle bents.
