So I have not been very active here lately. I know how you all can get if I don’t check in.
I have been preoccupied with delivering potatoes and onions. Farmers in our area are about ready to dump their crops. They are giving them away or selling them at cost. So I have been hauling them to people in need. That has been keeping me pretty busy. Trains have been a back burner priority.
But with that said and with things opening up in Idaho, it looks like we will have our June club meeting at my house. Even though its been up now for a couple years this will be the public debut of my railroad. So this weekend the wife and I started making our yard presentable for summer and for the club meeting. I used my leaf vac and vacuumed all the leaves from the layout. I pulled all the weeds and did a little pruning on my tree and rose bush. General clean up. Next is track work which there is a fair amount to do. And then graveling the entire area, the walkways as well as the track ballast. When its done I will show some pics.
On another note I need to fix my ice house. The adhesive I used to glue the sandpaper shingles down with is apparently not waterproof. Its the only thing I did not use titebond3 on. It glued the paper together but as a whole it has lifted off the plywood base. So i need to re glue that down.
