Joe,

Here’s your video embedded…

Nice!

Joe, that train is beautiful, truly. Ordinarily I’m big on weathering and all that, but your train in the video is such an attractive collection in all it’s variety and length that I would never be able to bring myself to touch any of the cars or the locomotives. I love the locomotive at the end of the train, also, really a nice touch.

Thank All!

Thanks Joe, once again, for pinning that video!

Any time, one Joe to another! (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Nice run by. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

found a bad spot on the inside mainline. Must be a hump where the train climbs a hill and then levels off? Took out my Triplex for a big test to see just how many cars she could pull. Didn’t get many attached as she keeps dropping them here. I’ll need to feather out the incline and make sure the lead cars have body mounted couplers. It’s a lot easier when you use pusher engines!!

Beautiful railroad Joe ! Looks like you’ll have a lot of real estate to play with. Yours looks so nice and clean and mine is still a mess from the winter. I still haven’t run a train this year cuz of work and honey do stuff . I’ll hopefully get to it right after I get the pool going.

Thank you! It’s getting there. Fixed an incline to get rid of a dip and a crest. Smoothed it out and she’s running better.

Added rubber mulch to the coal cars and made them too heavy. The train stalled on the hill. Got the Triplex called out to push the Hudson’s coal drag up the hill.

Shoved a couple cars off the tracks as the Hudson slipped. Called out a Challenger to head up the train. Still shoved the train too hard when the Challenger slips.

Ran the train backwards with the Triplex pulling and the train is fine. I’m going to need some big head end power to make longer trains. That Triplex can pull a house!

Did you fill the cars with that mulch? Or did you put a foam block in the cars and then put in the mulch? I do a foam block base, carved to shape, and then add crushed coal to the foam form, glued on to the form. It saves a lot of weight. Also, I don’t have an environmental hazard if a car tips over.

I need to add some Styrofoam as the cars are too heavy now. They were too light. I believe I’ll add some weight in the bottom to keep it low, then some styro blocks, and topped with the rubber for it’s looks. I never thought they’d pop off the tracks with them so heavy. I wish all cars had metal trucks (and wheels). I may add some lead to the bolsters???

Nice Videos… tks Joe Z for posting it up.

Ran a couple of trains today. I need to do some more work on the layout to smooth everything out. It is getting there.

Very nice! Who makes the stainless Steel tank car with the Coors Light on the sides, I assume they also make the TOFC trailer too? Nice mix of cars on all your trains. Keep the videos coming

Joe,

I think you have achieved what a lot of people strive for. Great railroad!
