Who sells wooden scribed siding suitable for large scale? I’m looking for something that would work as the siding on a boxcar, and not having much luck googling it.
Try this

They sell the the same type, a little cheaper.
If you’re building a boxcar, I’d go for siding that’s long enough to cover a side, plus provide enough for the ends.
I use the Midwest scribed siding for my stuff. I use 3/16" for freight cars, 1/8" for passenger cars. It’s scribed longitudinally, so you’ve got to butt panels next to panels for a side, but once it’s on and painted, you’ll be hard-pressed to find the joints. Generally I use 1/32" thick sheets, and laminate them to the side built from 1/8" plywood, masonite, or some other substrate. For glue, I’ll use 3M spray adhesive.

Ray,
You can get Northeast scribed siding locally at the Whistle Stop on 4th Av. That’s where I get mine. Like Kevin, I use 3/16 for boxcars and 1/8th for passenger cars.
Anyway, it’s sold in packs of two but try Scottie at the Whistel Stop.
