All I can say is I can buy a lot of manufactured track for the price of a set of those bits. Thank God the last of the grands will have the hand me downs to play with.

I love router bits!
The Freud catalog is in my outhouse library !
50-some years ago, my wooden train didn’t have those locking track pieces. Instead, each section had a little snap nailed to the end. It was easy for a pre-schooler to put the tracks on the floor and snap them together. My cars had hooks for coupling. They were about the same size as the modern ones, I think. I was a LOT smaller last I saw them.
I was just at Toys R us. For 2 switches and 4 pieces of track was $19.99. Those bits are a bargain at those prices. May pick some up and make track for my son.
Thanks bob

Check Craigslist for used track and accessories. I picked up a table with a bunch of track and accessories for $50. (Happy B-day, Andy!)

Also goodwill, picked up 100 pieces of track, Thomas, Percy, a battery Percy and some random cars for 20.00, best 20 bucks I’ve ever spent, I think I play with it more then my son does.
Caleb and Ethan ignored theirs unless Daddy was playing with it. Ethan especially liked to play with Daddy and the train.
Sara didn’t want the ones we bought for her… just the ones we were trying to sell.
These ones are US made
