Hello
I have a preowned USAT NW2 that is missing some of the railings. I know it might be tough to get the official ones from USAT so why not make my own but what type of wire to use?
What do you suggest and where can I get it?
Thanks

I usually raid the K&S brass display at the hardware store
I’ve ordered replacement handrails from USA without any problems. Give the parts guy a call and ask. USA might even have it listed online.
Todd Haskins said:Not at all as stated already give them a call! If you go to their website and click on your loco there will be a parts list.

I’ve had no problems ordering on-line for their parts. It was even for the NW2 (parts that I broke).
If you are missing any of the stanchion bases, make sure to ask for them as they do not usually come with the railings.
I was under the assumption that it was difficult to get railings from USAT due to a few posts I have read here in the past maybe I misunderstood. I will have to give USAT a call or the next time I’m in their neighborhood go and pick em up.
Thanks guys

Just see Mike!
Most of the time they have what you need.

Just a short note on K & S and Special Shapes. Special Shapes is the shipping arm for K & S. But Special Shapes offers more, as I recall and ships faster.
