Winter scene

The guys on the KMRR woke up to more snow. They tried to get the engine going but the tracks were too iced up

They need to invest in a snowplow…

We just got a light dusting down here…flurried all day, but it was melting as fast as it came down… You could get one of these to get the ice off the rails…

Jon, Jon, Jon

What are you talking about? You take one of the 12V inverters and run it off that, no sweat.  If it’s good in the car for the 'puter why not give it a try, eh?

I thought of that HJ but I can’t get enuf Umps out of the 12V supply and I don’t have a loco and car strong enuf to push around a 12V car battery :o

You guys have some great ideas. I Like the hair dryer idea. IU really got working on that plow Heres a few more with the log cars hooked up. Hope Im not boring anyone yet.

Not boring me.
Looks cool.
Makes me feel like a puss when I see others running trains in the snow while I hide indoors because its 40 degrees outside.
So, I’m heading outside to work on the layout in an effort to redeem my manhood =)

Bore us with train pics? Not gonna happen!

Ya know, if I haven’t become enfeebled memory-wise (some will say that happened a long time ago), someone here or on that other place did use a propane torch with a special flame spreader that spread the flame wide, reducing the concentration of heat considerably.

Thought might be given to re-creating that, experimenting with old track, ready for the knackers.

You take some good pictures, Shawn…not a boring one in the lot…

Keep 'em coming. That last bunch was great - especially the sunlight on the snow in the last few. Makes for a great scene.

And sorry about the thread drift. It seems to happen here all the time

Nice!!!
