Oops.

That’s OK, we make plenty wine here.
Don’t need their wine. Cost tooo much any way.

Ya gotta love it when your Vintners name is “Sparky”

More doom and gloom from one of the Murdoch owned “Newspapers”.

Well, they gotta report on something besides the whole phone hacking/police corruption/political influence thing... don't they?

Besides, except for a heat wave in the US and homebrewed terror in Norway it HAS been a pretty slow news week. If they sold a 'news’paper that was nothing but advertising they’d be Kalbach, not News Corp.

But maybe the four-legged sewer rats got a bit of a buzz on

We call it “Whine” around here !!!

More whine! More whine!

Well how bout the Fed. budget?
Talk about doom and Gloom.

Could we say a winery industry that whines about wine?

I drink Annie Greensprings and Two Buck Chuck. That stuff is 'way too high priced for me. It won’t even get a second look.

You could always try flagon or cask wine.
That has the same effect for a whole lot less than bottled plonk.

Beer!

David, to get the effect of alcohol the tipple has to have some alcohol in it.
That insipid dishwater you 'Murricans call beer is a lot closer to dishwater than it s to real beer.

Depends on the brand. some are closer to horse urine others are fairly OK. I mostly buy Canadian stuff - their swill is usually better than our cheap domestic swampwater.

Speaking of swill, any truth the rumor that you Aussies only export Foster’s because nobody there can stomach the stuff?

If your buying the mass produced stuff yes its pretty awful, but if you buy the craft brewers stuff its pretty dam good. I still like Anchor Steam and a good Craftsman Ale you cannot go wrong

Hi Mik.

I have tried various beers in the past. The only one I can stand is the Philippino San Miguel.
I can’t advise about Fosters because I don’t like most beers so I never drink it anyway.

I don’t know bout you other buggers, but I craft my own Beer and Wine.
If you don’t like what they make, then learn how to make it your self.
And San Miguel is toilet water as far as I’m concerned,
that is unless it was improved since I tried it when I was over there.
But if you want good ale the Britts have it there, then if your a full bodied Beer get the real German brew.
The rest are worried bout profits or it is just too warm to get it right, one way or another.
Anything else is what I said before.

I “brew” my own ice tea. Do I qualify as a brewer?

I’ve had my share of beer over the years and some of it has been good.

Your comment about it being too warm does remind me. One of the railroads I’ve read about is the Tonopah and Tidewater on the Southern California desert. Besides transporting gold and supplies to the goldfields they transported beer from a brewery on the desert. I wonder what kind of beer they made in 120 degree temperatures?
