Why doesn't Bachmann do loco kitbashers a favor?

Now that Bachmann has introduced the C-19, a really fine (and finescale) loco, why doesn’t the company start selling parts such as steam and sand domes, valve gear, tender trucks, etc so that loco bashers like Kevin Strong and Bruce Chandler (to name two) have an inventory of parts to use for their bashes? Since this stuff is being popped out of a die somewhere in China (for pennies a piece, I bet), how difficult would it be to snag some loose pieces and set up a parts department? It would be a great PR move and would instill a sense of being part of something, like say, the Bachmann Loco Bashers Club. There could even be a contest for the best bash. Anyway, food for thought. Are you seeing this, Bach Man?

But they do…Maybe not as many as some would like.

EDIT:
Actually, I want to throw a shout out to Bachmann for their spare parts, like you I want more but…With every 1:20.3 piece of rolling stock Bachmann has seen fit to include EXTRA small parts they expect might break (journel covers, hinge bits, air fittings, even caboose lanterns!).

I also really like the “bag of detail goodies” like grease cans and tools that come with every 1:20.3 loco.

Bachmann has replaced LGB in my book for being “consumer-centric”.

They sold alot of “bits” seperately for the K27, plows, doghouses, etc.

Yeah Vic, I knew that, 'cause I went on their site, but I’ve got a thing for sand and steam domes, hence my post. Beside, I’ve gone very far in life by being ignorant

I would like to see Bachmann, or any other manufacturer make a line of ‘Bare Bones’ locomotive bases. WAYYYYY back when… NWSL released a 4-4-0 brass bare bones loco in On3. It had no domes, piping or detail of any nature, but ran great. There were several great builders photos in the magazines of locos built from these. If done with a good bullet proof drive, I don’t think they would stay on the shelves very long (caveat: pricing is as bare bones as the loco).

Just my tuppence worth.
