Thats a photo I grabbed off the 7/8 list. Its a 2’ boxcar (right) and a standard ga boxcar (left) in 7/8 scale.
Thanks Bob, I thought that might be 2Ft - the rails looked awful narrow compared to the standard gauge. And 7/8 scale explains why the standard gauge boxcar looks so big compared with the plants.
That is…ummmmmmmmmmmmm shoot…I know the guys name…and can;t think of it right offhand…its AT Steve King’s layout…Awww c’mon Bob…who was the guy that actually did the working crane too…Ummmmmmmmmm Dave Cummins…“Do it Yourself Dave” from Outdoor Railroader and Finescale Railroader fame…
Here’s another picture of it, to show you exactly how big the standard gauge boxcar is:

Cool
Man, I’d hate to try to put a 4-8-4 or a 2-8-8-2 on the rails in that scale, but it would be awesome to watch!
Those are great models! Nice to see the NG and SG together.
Those are great models and great shots!!
But don’t show those to the ‘all trains are the same size’ or the ‘scale doesn’t matter’ crowd. They’ll demand those models be shrunk to size or at least put away where they can’t see them.
Happy RRing,
