Well last December when we went east, I looked into the train one way , it was more than the round trip air fair and 5 days longer from Sacramento to DC. I didn’t understand the deal they charge for a seat for each person than a room if you want a bed, why not just stay in the room or am I missing something?

I understand that they got Eisenhower ( sp?) convinced to build the interstate road system. Which would result in more travel by trucks and cars with resulting profits in vehicle, tire, and fuel sales.
