Hello Guys!! It’s Me… The Dave.

Lots of speculation about what became of me and such. I’m doing OK… And “NO I wasn’t in Jail” I have escaped a bit to deal with some life challenges, and things are looking up for the future.

On top of everything else… I have dealt with two break ins to my shop/garage. All my good tools are gone, High end Pro grade DeWalts and such. Big $$ wood working hand tools and etc.

The second time ( Different MO ) assorted stuff , and for unknown reason they grabbed my power supplies for my RR, and all my RR maintenance stuff and etc. and my neat cruiser bicycle.

For some reason they left my anvil and forge. But they did grab some tongs and hammers.

We weren’t home either time, or I just might be facing felony charges for using my .357 Mag hollow points on some A&& Hole.

My RR is in shambles, and I haven’t ran a train since Feb. But I just bought a new 10 Amp throttle off of e-Bay, so I’m getting started back on the pike. My great-grandson keeps asking when we will run trains again, and now “soon” really does mean soon. I’ve got a line on replacement Digitrax stuff so we will see how that goes getting the DCC back up.

Looking forward … I have plans for the 2018 Mik’s Challenge. 60 Days to go. But I do like all the things bantering about. Maybe a little of both? No Real Hints…

It’s already feeling good to be back amongst friends…

That’s a mess of mixed news. I guess that still being here and able to pick up and carry on is good news.

A clear cut case for the application of some New Mexico Axe Handle Justice. Nothing beats a nice piece of hickory and this one comes with an angry Boomer attached.

Probably some delinquents with no respect for others…you know, N scale modelers. :!(

Geez Dave. I am glad your back but dang I am sorry to hear about all the crap. Hope you get back on your feet.

wow, sure glad your ok though. As for the challenge, it will be much easier this round as ill be stateside for the whole duration of the challenge, so ill definitely be in. And if you need any help with any of it Dave, I would be happy to help :slight_smile:

I’m glad you’re back and in good spirits in spite of your losses. It’s encouraging to know you are looking forward.

Like Boomer, I think I have a can of Whoop A&& in the shed for ya! Let us know when we can apply it!

Good to see you posting Dave. That really is a shame about the thefts. Once is bad enough, but twice! It’s been a very, very long time since Ive had that experience and I’m still angry at the thief. I hope your insurance helps you out, but if items are not specifically listed most homeowner’s coverage is pretty limited. Keeping a schedule on file with them is a lot of work and will add to your premium but can save your butt in a bad situation.

I’ve scheduled some time for tomorrow to get a start on bringing the pike back to life…
