Where Should I Put Bob?

Since Devon posed the question I thought it deserved its own thread. I am somewhat biased Devon but I think you should build a special structure equal to the importance of the BD, something like this:

That should standout in rural Idaho.

If anybody has another suggestion (and I know you all do) feel free to post it here.

OH boy I can only imagine where this might lead. So since it is in backwoods Idaho (don’t forget I am only about 100 miles south of Canada) we might want to be in keeping with the local flavor. Well he is not King Bob or I would recommend a thrown.

But since he is not the King he doesn’t need a thrown. When I was a kid in So. Cal I would have suggested at his own restaurant.

But there ain’t no Big Boys in Idaho (yeah if you bleive that I have a bridge to sell you).

So where does Bob fit in in Idaho. Hmm I will have to think about that.

No, Bob used to use the tag line that he was the “Benevolent Dictator”. Since taters are rather common in Idaho…

Shut up Rooster!

From my perspective Devon has three options I’ve added to his indoor plan below. No I’m not suggesting he turn him into a buoy with two of those locations.

From what I know of Bob he also enjoys ships and watercraft, so why not position him where those things meet on Devon’s pike.

A. He could be standing on the land/dock and watching/guiding a barge/car ferry into the track connection.

B. He could be on the barge/ Car ferry.

C He could be on any other type of vessel that is docked up along side the dock spur. You know that tall ships could have a crane rigged in so that they could actually off or on load items from a dock, or in this case a flat car.

What about Bob?

That was a funny movie!

Randy,

I am glad you clarified. When two of the three locations showed up I figured I would need to fit him for some cement shoes.

Now as the BD he has some authority. I thought maybe he could be the mayor of my little town. I am thinking the town hall could be tween the bath house and the saloon/brothel that “lefty” runs.

Since poor Bob’s head is probably always spinning from all the crap he has to put up with on this site, I’d say make him the turntable operator!(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

I’m surprised!

For putting up with the likes of us, I’d put him up on a Pedestal!

Doesn’t your town need a pigeon perch?

Yer bud, the steering committee.

John

Throw him to the bottom of the gulch and call it “Dead Dictators Gulch”. Then build a monument in town for him.

All great suggestions. I found out from Boomer that Bob is on his way to Idaho with plenty of Ketchup and salt for some fried dic . . .um er I mean potatoes.

We will find a special spot for him I am sure.

Shouldn’t he just be put in his place?(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)

Bruce, but isn’t that what this discussion is about? Figuring out what place is his, to be put in.

I believe Bruce is actually volunteering himself to make the monument for “Dead Dictator Gulch”

So Bob showed up today. He is a fine looking handsome man. Even dapper I must say. But there is an issue with Bob that may make it difficult to place him (unless I throw him in a ditch or gulch then it likely wont matter). See if I place Bob with my current 1:20.3 gentlemen he will look weak, anemic, and puny. If I put him with Barnabas, Bartholomew, and Frank Lloyd Wright on the 1:24 indoor layout then he will be a giant among men. To my eye Bob is about 1:22.

So some real consideration will need to be taken in where to put Bob. We don’t want him to look wimpy but does he really want to be compared to the likes of Andre the Giant, or that Chinese basket ball player, and be freakishly large and out of proportion. I suppose to be larger in stature is less emasculating but if Bob is really secure in who he is he won’t mind his small physical stature instead he will know that his immense mental stature makes up for any short comings (pun intended).

And as usual Bob himself has been silent on the subject.

Well then, maybe Bob should be looking out of the station-master’s window. Inside the building, you can set him on a small platform, so that he will appear to be of a similar height to the rest of the inhabitants.

Edit for puntct-she-aytion

Devon

You are clearly not using Bob correctly. This figure is a delicate instrument that must be handled with care and fore thought. If you check “Bob’s” owners manual you will see the following:

  1. “Bob” the figure is a perfect 1/20.3 replica of Bob the man. From his tennis ball sized head down to his teenage girl physique it is a perfect copy. It is not my fault that there is so little of him to work with. At 5’6" and 99 lbs soaking wet he is not shopping in the big and tall section.

  2. “Bob” makes up in personality what he lacks in stature. Wherever you place him his charisma will expand to fill the void.

  3. “Bob” requires a pedestal so that his legions of adoring fans can view him and offer homage. Place him on a brick with three or four Lego people standing around with blank stares on their faces and he will be happy.

  4. If you still have problems contact me and I will make a figure of a 1/20.3 computer server with a 1/20.3 LSC Forum program running on it to put next to him in your living room…odds are that will get his blood pressure up and he will seem 10 feet tall in no time.

LOL well that settles it Boomer. Described as above he will fit right in on the outdoor layout. He might have to hunker down inside for awhile on the indoor until a proper outdoor pedestal can be made. But I have just the right idea for him. I will share shortly what I have come up with for him I think his tiny head and enormous manhood (shut up rooster) ego self-awareness personality will be right at home.
