When are the sales gonna start?

Paper says retail is at it’s lowest since…?
Great Christmas sales will hit soon.
How about the train shops?
RRS has lowered Backman 3 truck shays to $437.50 ea.
That’s about it.
RRS Has the most AMS stuff in stock of any e-tailer.

Are the train shops gonna sink right along with their inventory?

Your thoughts.

RRS did have a pretty good sale on Bmann a few weeks ago, the Rail Truck for less than $125, the new side tank porter for $99…Shays were less than $400…but my wallet was/is empty. not sure if any sale could entice me right now…tightest it’s been in over 7 years! saying that, I’ve gotten plenty of locos to convert (although I would love to have a Connie)…

I’m really needing Rolling stock…WST had the Hartland Flats pretty cheap…and I’m thinking that I can use them for logging flats, built up gons, work/crew caboose…etc?

I think the demographics of the hobby don’t require retailers to cut prices. I think we will see reduced inventory at (online) shops, and higher prices.
It started a while back and I don’t think the trend will change.
Closeout deals are/will be in abundance as inventories are reduced all along the chain, from manufacturer to retailer.

Stopped at a LHS yesterday. He had a set of Aristo UP heavy weights. Ask what he wanted for them $250.00
each. No sale there!
