Used to be a simple insert eg
[vimeo]xxxxxx[/vimeo]
but that doesn’t work, all it produces is a large black rectangle. What gives???
If you’re getting the black rectangle, your browser is missing the needed plugin.

Oh - and get rid of https:// in the URL - change it to http:// LSC cant process the secure page.

What puzzles me is that it changed just like that. Using the usual “share” URL that Vimeo provides, as far as plug-ins go Flash is utd and I’ve never needed a special plug-in for Vimeo.
BTW I was trying that movie icon, too. Couldn’t get that to play either, got a big yellow square with an icon in the center. I’ll have another kick at the can. 
Another interesting part, in Facebook I can insert either VIMEO or YT and the embedding happens automatically. Go figure!
Could I get some info on how the app with the film strip icon is supposed to work. It is very frustrating when things that used to work earlier on don’t work this week and one has to start looking for work-arounds, which then don’t work, either. Not amused!
As far as I know nothing has changed here in months. The filmstrip icon does not seem to work so well, never did. Ive imbedded your video using the same procedures I always have ( the Vimeo tags) and have imbedded several of my own in recent weeks.

Yes, that’s what I used all along.
I got rid of four “stray” suspect programs and BINGO, back to normal. There is still one more stupid pop-up, but I haven’t found its origin yet. Garbage like that is not supposed to happen, there’s enough excitement in life as it is.
