Large Scale Central

What's the latest in 12v outdoor led light strips?

My first garden railway, The Frankfort Terminal Railroad, has been in the backyard since 2008. I am learning that 24/7/365, central Indiana, outdoor structures lead a tough life. My lighted passenger station has been in place since 2011. The home made interior led light strip has rusted leads and is generally ratty. I am not inclined to make a new one if technology has made available outdoor led strips that can be easily tied to my 12v wiring loop. I am sure other buildings will need attention also. I see lots of led strips out in cyberworld, but not sure what is best for our world.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
David

12V LED modules are getting very common and cheap. I use a few different types in my work building internally lit signs. When building signs, drops (cut leftovers) less than 5 modules usually have no use so they sometimes find their way home with me. Plans are to someday use them to illuminate some of my buildings. I’ve already used them as under-shelf illumination powered by a wall wart.

You should have no problem between Amazon and eBay finding lots of variety for not a lot of money.

If you check Walmart after Christmas, they have all kinds of LED lights on sale. They are part of the Christmas village collection. I purchased a bunch of them last year for practically nothing. They have two AA batteries and 3 LED. Make a good inexpensive interior lights for buildings.
