Large Scale Central

What would you do with these?

Back to the topic - What would I do with them… I have quite a few. A neighbor gave me a small set, without loco, and I bought 2 or three sets as-is from TOC a bunch of years ago. One got cut down and mounted on a modified Bachman TOFC car to make a wheel car / track cleaner…

I had plans to cut a bunch the long way on a band saw to make a decoration to add to window shutters on the house.

Mik,

HLW has a box car that might work for you. Looks alot like these.

Shawn, I'd like to swap a set with you. It will be a couple weeks. I'm out of decal paper and packin for PA. Ralph

Ill bring some to york Ric here is the HLW boxcar I did up. The one on the left is a bachmann hauler and the one on the right is a HLW. I love the shorter look of the HLW

Shawn,

I certainly think they have a place in the hobby. I’ve got plans for one that used to be rolling stock, that is until my bride and the cat got in an argument and it was in the middle.

I think it reminds him of the bus he rides too school Ric.

While trying to modify the trucks to accept full sized wheels I suffered a catastrophic failure on one. This left me with an extra car body. So I did what a real railroad would have done with a surplus boxcar (no, not roll it in a ditch and burn it… tempting, but no.).

I think it came out rather well for a rainy afternoon project built from crap that I had laying around…

Hey that looks pretty sharp, nice “recycling” job there.

I like it mik and gives me an idea now.

Nice little freight depot…

Nice Mik,
I think the office of “Marconi Goats” will be something similar.
Of course, it will be on Hollywood Blvd
