What to do with your rebate $$

Got this today:

The federal government is sending each and everyone of us a $600 rebate.

If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China.

If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs.

If we purchase a computer it will go to India.

If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala.

If we purchase a good car it will go to Japan.

If we purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan…

and none of it will help the American economy.

The only way to keep that money here at home is to buy prostitutes, weed, beer, and tattoos, since these are the only products still produced in the USA .

What kind of cheap weed are you buying? Buy good weed and the money goes to BC. :smiley: :wink: :smiley: BTW you should have excluded the NAFTA partners in any case, it’s the thing to do now-a-days. :wink: :smiley:

Geeeeeeeeeeeeeez ! i only got 1/2 what was expected so I got under stimulated so BEER would be good no use for the others, and Golly Me I was expecting to buy two tanks of gas and now will only be able to get ONE. Go figure!! Wait a minute i do have one tatoo guess i could get another one of those!!

My ex-wife has appropriated mine, which SHOULD mean it will get spent on the kids, or the twin grandkids when they are born in July… but it probably means she’ll either buy more useless crap or send it to her jailbird BF for commissary and phone calls.

you could also make a donation to an overseas relief fund so that some dictator in a foreign country could boost his personal wealth. You could stick it under your mattress, then a month later it would be worth $50.00 less, but at least you would still have your $600.00 in your hands. If you spend it on a working girl then make sure that she has a green card, a social security number and that she pays her taxes as you would not be wanting to support a black market economy and thus deprive your goverment of its due income.

I can guarantee you that not everyone is getting $600…
they already got 1/3 of my income…

Supposedly we’re supposed to get $1200. I’ll believe it when I see it. Besides, at the rate gas prices are climbing, by the time it gets it here, it should just about cover a tank of gas.

That's exactly what I plan on spending mine on, well that and beer :D Our summer vacation to WV pulling the trailer will consume over 200 gallons of gas. I hope the prices by then have not risen to where $1000 won't cover it. What sucks most about 5MPG and a 18 gallon tank is stopping every 100 miles to fill up. If I could pull the extra weight I'd add an auxiliary tank.
