GM is going belly up? Where did you get that information?

Steve Featherkile said:Wouldn't surprise me at all, Steve. Nothin does in todays markets.
GM is going belly up?

It is getting very, very stale, isn't it?I’m awundrin how much would be written if say, Aristo or USA goes TU?
And all the why for’s and what not’s that go with it.
I don’t think HJ would carry on with such gusto,jb
JB,
There would be no need for it, all the reporting would be in English, no insolvency/bankruptcy proclamations in different languages with marked differences of content between them. The crocs in de-nile would go about their business as usual (snapping at asses, that is :D), Kool-Aid sales wouldn’t spike.
We wouldn’t get friendly reminders that we needed to show our support and buy, buy, buy! “Uncle Lewis” would probably tell us that he ran out of “WOW” and the remainder sale on track was at the price of 2005.
Or whatever!
But there is one question that remains: how large is the kollektor community for Aristo and USAT?
<But there is one question that remains: how large is the kollektor community for Aristo and USAT?>
Yer right, HJ! Not large at all. I haven’t seen any kollectables from Loowee. and maybe the big cast ones from Chuck would qualify, but nothing much from either is kollectable. Just bashing fodder.

Welllllllllll in that case, the wailing and breast thumping, wearing of sackcloth, hairshirts and other choice garments would be within reason, the sky wouldn’t fall, the sun would come up in the East and life would go on, eh?
Well I better get back to my work in the garden now that the storms passed through.
Oh yeah, I got about half of the Newsclip transcribed. Sheesh some of those guys sure talk funny. It’s rewind and listen once more.
If General Motors (or Ford) were to fail simply because they failed to respond to market trends and kept producing ‘V8’ monster SUV’s and not eco-friendly cars such as Toyota manufacture, then there would be little discussion. However, if either company gave away its distribution franchise for a major market plus the worldwide marketting rights to the brandname, for basically nothing but a handshake, then I am sure that tails would be wagging and jail doors slamming. It is not the product quality that is in dispute, but the process used to bring the company to closing its doors.
The detractors still believe that it is an attack on product quality, when in fact it is personal integrity that is in dispute.
…met a guy a few weeks ago that collects Chucky’s refrigerator cars…is only missing 8 of the whole series, but he is the first I’ve met that “Collects” any of the 1:29 stuff.
But; collecting is a funny hobby. I’ve heard of some that collect “Moose Droppings”, and bheer cans…so I guess anything goes, in that area.
…those refrigerator cars are actually 1:22.5…sorry.
Tim-
That’s what has been so funny about this episode.
The “spinning ventilators” have always tried to divert attention from what has been the issue.
Trying to accuse all of “hating” the product.
Wait for the “translation”!

Hey Mark, is it time for a literacy refresher course or did you just have another bad day?

Unlike your pathetic ass that spends HOURS and HOURS blowing words with the wind, I do not see any reason whatsoever to form
a
perfect sentence, nor paragraph; with proper punctuation, just so that I can pretend to feel superior to others, like you Blowhan! :MFinger

Tell you what: I promise that it will be your very special present for the anniversary of Märklin getting the bid (July 26th)! It could be even before then, if I find the extra minutes .... well it's only a seven minute clip. No problem! It will be a fitting occasion!
Meantime I’m back in the garden planning the next steps, lots of a plant material to be cleared; making room for some really n-i-c-e b-i-g curves!
Mark,
once again following the predetermined line of abusing those who seek to get to the truth. Obscuring the issue by personal abuse does nothing for your already tarnished reputation.
Tim Brien said:You need to pull your god damn head outta your butt and re-read this thred, and then you may notice that the "predetermined line of abusing those " bullcrap that your refering to started from your boyfriend not me. Mark,
You took the first poke with the “next week” shot.
Ralph
That “NEXT WEEK” shot is on every other post on any topic about LGB/OA/MArklin and does not anywhere near resemble a personal atack on anyone! Refer to page 1 of this very topic, i’m not the ony one that made a “next week” comment!
For the record, I don’t care about LGB, they simply have never produced american prototypes that look good, their prices are way outta line for similar items by other manufactures products.

There was nothing wrong with your "next week " comment.
HJ responded by taking a poke at you.
Just seems to me you went a little over the top after that.
If you can’t take a shot…you know the rest.
