What light do you use with your saw or router?

My bandsaw has 2 pre-drilled attachment locations for spot lights. One spot is on the top of the saw the other is on the right side. (4 holes spaced 60mm apart)

Unfortunately these lights are not imported here. There are knock-offs but the reviews seem to reflect that. Importing the genuine lights are prohibitively expensive.

I’ve also been thinking outside the box, with flood lights and computer desk lamps.

There appears to be numerous standard options too from fixed to arm to flexible lighting.

What has worked best for your needs ? How many lumens do I actually need. Does anyone have any specific recommendations for spotlights?

With a 100 watt incandescent bulb just for the heat during the winter. In the spring and summer I don’t use one.

If that’s the case, why not get a brooder heat lamp and keep the chicks toasty?

Cause they exceed the wattage rating on the fixture dumbass!

Sure, if you’re concerned about that. I didn’t take you for someone who would be; my mistake.

Clamp on lights are good. Two magnetic mount, old lights on my antique drill press.

Turbo4whl… This looks like a craftsman bench mount press?.. Do you have or ever used the mortising attachment for it? Thanks … Travis

No, I do not. This old press is stout enough to run a end mill cutter. I also have a small x,y cross feed vise. What it does have, is a Veri-Slo speed control.
