This is what I have been doing to keep busy until the snow melts and I can get out and play trains. What else is everyone doing from getting cabin fever. Me a little ice climbing and snowshoeing.
Made it to the top finally

I’m spending a few hours a day in the shop, bashing bachmann and other stuff.
But I must be honest and say this winter has made me a little more depressed than usual.
Must be gettin old…

I cant thaw out the the inch plus of ice and the 8 inches of snow on top of that. Plus another 4 inches forcasted for tonight/tomorrow. I turn to ice climbing and snowshoeing and XC skiing. This was my layout a month ago. Now you cant even see the tree tops etc…

Ahhhhhhhhh…your nuts, crackers, complete loony…I’d break the water fall if I tried that, end up having the National Park Rangers after me for vandalising State Property… Maybe you should get an indoor layout, safer 'cept when you trip over a box.

What helps is I am the Ranger but for the State of NJ but we work with the National Park Rangers since we are both on the High Angle/SAR teams. One of the many perks LOL
Is this a warm up for Everest?
In true hibernation mode, I’ve turned to catching up on all the reading. Stack of books, stack of mags.
But it’s now time to get my money’s worth out of my XC season pass.
