What ever happened to

This morning I pulled out a 4 year old back issue of Garden Railways magazine and it got me to thinking and missing not only the equipment prices from back then but also the abundance of advertisers in the magazine. With each issue of GR mag it like the economy is shrinking. recently I noticed that both St Aubins and trainworld have reduced their advertising pages. Some stores are simply and sadly gone.
Another great loss from the magazine was Peter Jones’ articles. I have read and enjoyed his book. He had a way of writing using his English wit that really showed his passion for trains. I always appreciated Peters somewhat simplistic approach to how he built and operated his layout. It didn’t have to be perfect but if it suited him he was happy. I once suggested to the editor of GR, Marc Horovitz that they put together another book that contained all of the late Peter Jones’ contributions to the magazine. Hey Kevin Strong give Marc a nudge will ya.
Another contributor I miss is Jack Verducci. His buildings and modeling skills were always amazing. I seem to remember that he sort of retired from writing his article a few years back but promised to poke in now and again. He hasn’t. Does anyone know what has happened to this ole RR friend?
Todd

Better look again Todd. Jack just finished a multi-month article this past year.

Dave did Jack Verducci have articles in garden railways magazine or the online version or one of the other train magazines? I didn’t see his name in recent back issues of GR? It is nice to think that a great model RRer hasn’t tossed in the towel and is in fact still messing and modeling out there somewhere in the backyard or workshop.
