🚟 What caught your Whimsy in 2024?

Disneyland’s Imagineer position was unknown to me until recently. I came across this blog by a Canadian fellow today and wondered has any whimsical railway caught your eye this year.

Cool, Those are awesome!

Very cool. He’s continuing the personal railroading endeavors of Walt Disney (live steam garden RR) and Ward Kimball, Disney artist (1:1 steam RR).

Glad he was able to push her again and again. As for me, I would of passed out after two times. :slight_smile:

Sometimes Pinterest will have something a search engine just can’t find.
Between Perth and Adelaide lies the longest stretch of straight track in the world. It’s on the Nullarbor which loosely translates to No Trees. And now there’s a whimsical explanation for the Nullarbor.

Found another one.

Does anyone manufacture dual gauge sleepers (ties) for G & GN15?

Interesting, Bill. Kinda challenging maybe on the rail size. The smallest rail for G that I’ve heard of is code 215 (.215"), and the largest HO rail I think is code 100 (.100"). The three rails would need to be of the same height, in order for the trucks and drivers and everything to work.

Maybe a rail height between these (S? O?) would work, but you’d have to pick what sort of product scale to work with both gauges, I’d imagine.

Just 2 cents, fwiw.

It makes sense than modellers of GN15 would use HO track. I see the emett collection uses Hornsby trucks. I was hoping someone made dual gauge sleepers in G & GN15.

I’d be happy with code 332, but am not ready to embark on making my own sleepers.

Folks;

This is actually a photo mural at a Swiss bakery in Alexandria, VA (we went there while on a visit with our daughter, Julie). The scene is a bit whimsical.

Best, David Meashey

P.S. It’s also a bit interesting that On30, Sn3, and Gn15 all run on HO gauge track.

Always loved these Cli-Shay live steam models, just never had the room for them.
