The seller is selling two pairs ($47.50 x 2 = $95) and it is an open bid so anything goes if a bidding war starts.
Ouch I wish I had money like that to throw away. I wouldnt even pay $50.
So…why pay more than list?
I guess one might pay more than list…if they needed it and it wasn’t currently available from Hartford.
Now, if Hartford has them in stock, I’d say the bidding was rather foolish

Why pay even list??? cause its the “Evil Bay” Somebody got real lucky eh?? Regal
They are in stock… I really don’t understand this mentality.
Or, maybe I wish I could sell stuff that would bring those prices! :o
Bruce,
Buy out Hartford and put them on e-bay.
Cu-ching.

The short answer is that people are of either the ‘I want it no matter the cost’ (full well knowing the market value), or they are foolish enough to bid on an item they have no clue about the real value. This goes on in every kind of auction I have ever attended.

PS Yanks - Batten down the hatches!! The last hurricane I remember (I’ve slept a couple of nights since then) being as bad as the one headed your way was in the early '60’s. Seem ironic that the guy in Florida is worried about people he knows in the north east.
“Evil Bay”, a fool’s paradise… What was it PT Barnum said, “There is a sucker born every minute”, or something
to that effect… Then there was another one I think, “A fool and his money R soon parted”… Ah well, the world
will continue to go around, and we all have to have something to laugh at anyway…
Paul R…
Somehow, people never bid crazy when I have something to sell.
