Is that station a brick building, or exposed beam? It is hard to tell from that postcard. Here is another version of that postcard, from Wikipedia, that shows a much lighter color…

It was of wood construction when built.

Just as interesting to note how the railroads back then were so integral to growth of resorts/towns. The D&H actually helped fund resorts to help their passenger service in Northern NY (Hotel Champlain which is now Clinton Community College) http://www.clintoncountyhistorical.org/slideshow/slideshow.html

In your research did you notice if the railroads actually built those resorts in the Catskills? Wondering if the boats were actually owned by the D&H as they had a fleet of paddleboats on Lake George to the North of you.
