Chevallier has a calliope?

Nossir- the calliope is in the background, along with half a dozen fairground engines and a couple of Foden and Sentinel steam trucks, two Locomobiles, a Dople and three Stanley steamers.

I’d love to get me a Sentinel truck or bus.

I know a guy over here who BUILDS full-size Foden steam trucks. He currently has one in use, awaiting payment from the client and one recently sold. Do you want his address?

I’ve just found this one for ya and I’m awaiting a call as to the cost.

You’d have to pay shipping FOB and I bet that FED-UPS would have a hissy fit trying to get one into a standard flat-pack box.

I love steam powered things besides trains. A friend built a steam launch a’la African Queen to run around in. And about 10 years ago I was bidding on a steam powered chain saw with everything but the steam donkey, lines and all. Ended up going for about $3000. sigh…

My pals John and Bob build steam launch engines to suit boats up to 30 feet in length. Bob designed the thing about thirty years ago - it’s a large V-twin like a Heisler, in fact, it would make a GREAT Heisler model at about 1/3rd scale.
