… the ice came off the little pond some time ago, and this week was pump and clean. Decide whatelse we need to keep the water clean and then get with it.
Stuff is ordered and the rest of the creek run from the pre-formed pond to the larger one will be tackled next week. By the time I’m done with that the additional stuff should be here. One step at a time!

Sheesh if breaking a sweat is a sign it must be Spring around the calendar here in the Okanagan. Can’t be, can’t be, better not be!
Come on rain/snow! We about killed ourselves out on the RR. Dug out some dead Alberta spruces, planted new ones, pruned trees, weeded, brought in some new rocks/soil. OUCH! Sitting on the deck later, with a bottle of Coke was nice though, as the McKeen car ran around. Jerry
Engineer’s meeting at the Chicago Botanic this morning. Train garden opens Saturday.
Something very gratifying about seeing the plants bloom alongside the track. I have two large azaleas that cover a section of raised track. They had magnificent blooms a couple weeks back and I planned to get a picture with a train coming out from under the branches. Then a severe storm came through (caused around ten tornados here in Virginia). Just like that the blooms were a mess on the ground. Maybe next year…
