My method is Roundup weed killer. :laughing:

Mine also John but this looks like more fun :smiley:

Rick;

I once mounted a model airplane prop to a battery Dremel tool and fastened the tool to a two-axle flat car as a test bed for the Fast Mail (shown below). Not only did this vehicle propel itself along effectively, but it also was effective at clearing weeds near the track!

If you use Roundup be aware that the newer stuff is not what it used to be. After all the legal problems they took out the glyphosate that made it work so well. New formula is crap as far as I’m concerned. I purchased a product on Amazon called Compare-N-Save 75324 that still is formulated like the old Roundup. 41% concentration, so way cheaper at $39.99 a gallon. Please let’s not get into a political discussion about it.

That’s amazing. Such a jungle environment, I’ll bet he runs the train frequently. And catenary lines too, wow.

He just needs a sweeper car as the caboose. Oh, and the roundup sprayer tanker… :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thanks for posting, Rick.

His videos are quite mesmerising and I suspect he lives somewhere in the hills outside of Melbourne. I think he’s quite clever.

They get quite a bit of rain and considering what drops on the tracks he probably needs catenary at times to keep things running all season.

Here’s an update to his weedwhacker train,

Rick, I like how this train is sort of self-weathering.

that jungle railroad must be a maintenance nightmare!
