Hey folks.
We’re behind a handful of software versions here. Sometime in the next month or so, I’ll be doing the update. I don’t expect anything to go wrong, which means something will. In the past when I’ve done this, its been a no-op, but, well, you never know.

so far each software update was a trade off between features gained and features lost.
(i wouldn’t like to spend months to restore hundreds of pics again)

If I remember correctly that was when BD changed from one software to another, not an upgrade on the current software.
Exactly, this is just updating the software version, which includes fixes and updates to various things.
