Weathering my I-H TD-24 Logging Dozer with Kerry Arch

I bought this dozer a year ago from “3000 Toys” online for $39.95 in 1/24th scale. It turned out to be quite a bargain and looks very “to scale” on a 1.20.3 flatcar I finally got around to weathering it in the last couple of weeks. It looked too nice and new out of the box. I worked for Louisiana Pacific 40 years ago, in Fort Bragg northern California, and none of our equipment was shinny. Here are some photos of my efforts.

Dan, No ( or ) in the pics name.

I would use something like crawler1, crawler2, etc.
Also 600 pixels as your largest size works good. 600 x xxx
Don’t worry, it took me a little time to dial it in.

well I guess I just can’t, figure out the photo upload system. I’ve tried the methods from Bob, Geoff, and Ralph to no avail. I’m new to this forum coming from MLS. If anyone can pound this into my head I would appreciate it.

Dan

I FINALLY GOT IT SEE ABOVE!!! THANKS JOHN, BOB, GEOFF, AND RALPH

Dan,
The crawler looks good. I’m still kicking myself for not getting one when they were cheap.

Here’s a tutorial by Bruce Chandler for uploading photos using Windows. Pretty easy, really.

Dan it looks great. I have always prefered the toned down look. Every new thing that touches my hand gets weathered.

Dan, nice job…

Looks great!
I weathered mine, but your looks better.
I like the idea of scraping paint off.
Never thot of that.

Looks great Dan - glad you got the picture thing worked out. The scratches and scraping are a great idea.
