Well, after a hard day of family reunion(ing), My wife insisted that I not drag her and the boys nearly 3 more hours away from home, so the EBT visit was a bust. But the PA Trolley Museum was about 10 min away from the hotel there in Washington PA. What the heck-Trolleys run on rails, so let’s go. http://www.pa-trolley.org/ We stopped in on the way home, and had a nice time. They offer a few different tour packages, we did the scaled down one. The Museum has over 40+ trolleys to view and a few to ride. The unit running on Sunday was 2711, a late 50’s early 60’s trolley that resembled a city bus more than a “trolleyâ€. On display in the shed was the New Orleans 832 and a few more very interesting trolleys. The shop area was neat too! They were in process of refreshing PA #66. The quarters were cramped so the pictures didn’t do too well. Also outside were a small diesel engine and a Porter switcher (a little smaller than the GE/Bmann 45tonner-but similar). All and all, we enjoyed the visit and would go back again (prob next year). Sorry I am usually more detailed oriented, but my Eldest was having a blast and the baby was sound asleep the entire time. I recommend a stop by the PA Trolley museum if you get in that neck of the woods!
