We are awaiting an official

… proclamation of three days of mourning to respect the demise of LGBoA as the distributor of all things LGB in North America. Perhaps that could be combined to coincide with the anticipated name change from LGBoA to ??? (awaits clarification).
But as Fr.Fred alluded to (Where’s the party?) an Irish wake wouldn’t be a bad idea either.

OK so we wait.

HJ,
a wake implies a body, which implies that a death has occurred. In the words of Monty Python - “I’m not dead yet.” We have yet to see anyone take to the plate and admit it’s all over. It will indeed be a sad day when the eventual happens. All that optimistic hype of two years ago has come to nought.

Tim,

From what I hear and read: in Germany they’re still looking for the skeletons (in the different closets). The Fat Lady may be limbering up the vocal cords but the curtain isn’t quite (ready to come) down yet.

As for the “carefully laid plans of mice and men”, wellllll … in my previous life I had an acquaintance who delighted in running those wild, big schemes by me when his “things” were on shaky ground. My usual question was “Do you really believe they are that dumb and would swallow that?” The machinations of the past few years sure had a certain “Where did I hear that before” ring to them.

Silvergate Manufacturing has arrived…

Richard and Carol Hillman of Hillman’s RailClamps have announced the sale of their business to a new company, Silvergate Manufacturing. Silvergate will continue production of the original RailClamps product line.

The Hillmans have stated that they will be in a state of transition for several months, and more information on the transition will be posted as we receive it. For more information or to order product, contact Hillman’s RailClamps directly at

Mark, that is hardly surprising, they will need mighty clamps to make LGB and PIKO standards join    Zubi

I just lowered my flag to half staff.

Party here this Saturday…my place…free bheer tomorrow…call it a wake…there is a body someplace…

Should we invite the Richners…or however you spell their name…would they come !!!

Zubi,

I was curious, so I tested a piece of old LGB track with a section of PIKO last night. With a bit of filing, I think I could make it work.

Paul

Paul,

That should take minimal filing, the profiles are supposedly from the same subcontractor and so are the ones from TrainLine45.

No response…I guess the wake is off…
