Management of the Western Consolidated Industries is pleased to announce that their subsidiary operation the West Virgina & Kentucky RR Narrow Gauge has outshopped a new cabin car soon to be pressed into service on the line’s coal trains.
The car was designed along the lines of the WV&K’s standard gauge cabins, and was built on the frame of an ancient combine that was no longer servicable in the WV&K’s Cassville Shops. Management also indicated that the Narrow Gauge’s own shops which are under going a major renovation at this time will be able to build new rolling stock as well as conducting repairs on locomotives and freightcars on their own.
