"Called USAT and asked while buying parts for my SD40-2. Gentleman told me either the F3 or the F7 would be in the 2018 catalog If the tooling can be completed in time it will be the F7 if not the F3.
So you don’t want to wait for this possibly to happen before looking for a used set?
Ya being impatient. I just scored on a 8 car USAT passenger set with the RPO for $1650 and can’t wait. I am hoping they will re-run the chrome version that is a must have.

I have a friend near me in North Hollywood (was a member of MyLargeScale for many years), that used to be a big LS train “nut” (outdoor layout and all). I know he has a couple of sets of ABBA F3 Santa Fe War Bonnets. Been stored for a few years, but like new. I can ask if he still has them if you’re interested. Maybe you could pick them up yourself and save shipping and make a personal inspection. He also has the USAT streamline passenger cars. He has eight to ten of these…maybe more.

David, the chrome F3’s are hard to come by, but you might find chrome E8’s…

Not Hollywood…in the San Fernando Valley. He’s had health issues. I’ll see what I can find out.
