I’m making a short train of coaches, and came across the Li’l Big Hauler combine. I already got a baggage car for $24 [$19.99 at Trainworld, but shipping = ++]. There don’t seem to be many of these around - couldn’t find one sold on its own - just in the sets.
But I did find a set on eBay (by someone selling off Gold Coast Station?) for a mere $85 plus $38 shipping.
If anyone is interested, I’d like to buy the combine from them!!

The sets are usually $150-200. The baggage on its own (not the same as the combine in the sets) is about $25. I found one for $24+ on Amazon, and by combining it with another purchase managed to get free shipping.
The same seller sold that one and put another on eBay for $99+$37.50 shipping.
The basic problem is that the Combine ONLY came with the passenger train set, like the boxcar and gondola in the freight set, they’ve never been offered individually in boxes like the other cars. Al Kramer sometimes sells the sets for cheap (engine, tender, passenger cars only minus the track and powerpack). I got a couple of those sets for about $70 each. Check with Al, he’s listed as ana.kramer on eBay, he might still have a stripped set or loose car lurking about he can sell you.

Agree, but that won’t make it cheap!
Odd that the combines aren’t sold separately.
Considering that set, aside from shipping costs, that’s $50 for engine/tender and $25 per car, plus a powerpack, you can sell the tin track and even the powerpack for a few dollars, cutting the overall cost by a few bucks, just saying.

Nope. Life and Xmas got in the wzy. (Wife borrowed the train funds to pay for my teeth ; some tax issue. Says I’ll get it back Jan 1.)
And I can’t even get the baggage to go round Jack’s layout - too light and not equalised.

But seriously, I do have a combine that was to be a project. Will let you have it for what I paid-$25 plus shipping. That way I can tell my wife I am selling stuff and thinning out.
