The most expensive used 2 truck shay is at $150.00
Care to balance it out some?

Let me reiterate some here: my Shay was never run and only used for shelf display. It is complete. The Connie needs to be fairly complete, however, it need not run. It is to be rebuilt as a non-operating shelf model.

What folks are trying to tell you is that a brand new Shay (mint in the box) is NOT going to come anywhere near what a USED Connie is going for. Right now on eBay is a BIN NEW Connie with a price of $450 on it!
I bought my Connie New from Hans at Gold Coast in 2007. At that time, they were becoming hard to get. He gave me the best price I have ever seen…>$200…even though I knew about the gear problems that the Connie had. I wish I had purchased more at the time. IF anyone has Connie’s for sale, Hans is the man to see! AND if or when you find one, install Barry’s Big Train drive. You will then have one of the nicest and finest running locomotives out there. Mine runs comparable to my Accucraft #346 C19!
Actually someone on this site had a brand new Connie for sale for $600. But that included a BBT drive(ready to install, Phoenix sound card, Airwire G2 AND a new Airwire T5000 throttle. That was less than a month ago. It has been sold as I understand it! Somebody got a fantastic deal! Good luck with your quest.
